modular shelves

This shelf system was my main project for a design course. The task was to design a modular furniture system. ​Mine is really simple one - it has boxes and pillars. The trick is in the connection points. The holes have a special shape, and with a piece of metal bar and a 3D printed object they are responsible for keeping the shelf in position. The pillars are made of oak, the shelves are black MDF.
